He was also super friendly and accommodating to my kids even though the tour we chose is not the “family friendly version” one, since we wanted to focus on being able to view the lights! He specially prepared a toy companion for them, marshmallows for them for the campfire, and even going above and beyond and sending us all the way back to our resort! Our guide Mikheil was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the landscape, the foliage, mushrooms, birds and animals on the forest. If you like nature trails then this is a must to do. This is a bit of an intensive hike with lots of climbs (I think the highest was ~340 stair steps) up and down though so at least medium level of fitness and very good knees required.”

He was kind and funny, and really did his best to connect with each guest. His knowledge of the flora, fauna, history, and legends of the area was the best of any nature tour guide we have encountered. His campfire building and cooking skills could have been their own tour—wonderful Finnish food, including ones from his own home town(s). He even played music around the campfire on really special instruments. Fantastic day—highly recommend!”
